Hello TAA,
The weekend shoot for May has been bumped up one weekend. It will be the 22nd and 23rd of May. Shoot set up will be Friday the 21st. TAA President John Lindgren is still looking for a few volunteers to help on Friday. Everyone who has, or will be helping with the May shoot is entered for a drawing. One lucky winner will be going home with a new bow!
I know this is short notice and it is my fault. The change was made on the 10th of April I think it was and I have been dragging my feet. Luckily however, we had a great turn out at the work party and got a lot of the heavy lifting done. The trailer is on site, pig cooker is being squared away, class prizes and door prizes are looking good, adult guidance has been obtained... Long story short, there are folks in place to make things run smoothly and they know when and how things are happening. They could however use a few additional sets of hands.
Two of the four officer slots will be open in May. Vice President and Secretary. I have failed completely this year as secretary. I know it sounds cliche-ish. But I have no time. Toss in the fact that MY computer is here at work and three hours of the day is spent driving, there it is. TAA takes it in the shorts. Form an orderly line and I will deal with your complaints one at a time. Anyone who is interested in either position let the club know. Remember, Vice President rolls up as President the next year.
The calendar for next year is usually done at the annual meeting. Which happens most times on Sundays at this event prior to the awards being handed out. It is a fairly simple affair. Maybe a dozen of us voice any concern. We go with that. Until we change our minds. Feel free to jump in.
I will not be attending this year. Even though I may have, may being the optimal word, the weekend off I am just to busy. And I am just not feeling it. I broke the selfbow I was shooting at the workparty in April. And surprisingly the two I have in the works have not been touched in months. So, I hope everyone has a good time. Well my lunch time is just about done. I will try to get out a shoot flyer this evening with more detail.
